WHO WE ARE
The Design Pop-Up Agency FZ LLC is a Dubai-based creative production agency specialising in pop-ups, activations, retail environments, and immersive brand experiences. We are founded and operated by two directors, registered in Dubai in July 2024, with active commercial trading commencing in April 2025.
We exist to close the gap between world-class product and second-rate staging through design, circular rental inventory, and a brokerage that connects the right brands to the right spaces.
We are the only circular fixture hire model operating in UAE fashion retail. That is not a positioning statement. It is a market fact, built and proven across 15 months of active trading.
THE PROBLEM WE SOLVE
The fashion activation sector had a waste problem. We built the solution.
A peer-reviewed Life Cycle Assessment published in Scientific Reports (Nature, February 2025) found that a single luxury pop-up booth generates daily carbon emissions up to 1,308 times that of a permanent building of the same size. Only 14 to 34% of materials in a typical luxury brand activation enter any recycling process after the event. The rest — rails, backdrops, walls, furniture — goes directly to landfill.
Across 2,500 or more commercial activations in Dubai in 2023 to 2024, every single one produced a single-use build. There was no hire model. No circular system. No third option.
THE SALVAGE AND RESTORE PROGRAMME
A single asset. Multiple lives.
Launched in April 2025 as a founding initiative of The Design Pop-Up Agency, the Salvage and Restore Programme intercepts premium retail assets at the point of disposal, restores them to a commercially hireable standard, and absorbs them into active circular inventory.
When retailers close in the UAE, their fixtures, mannequins, rails, mirrors, plinths - go to disposal. No market existed to receive them. No system existed to restore and recirculate them. We built that market.
We built circular from day one. Not as an initiative. As the business.
The Design Pop-Up Agency is the only circular fixture hire model operating in UAE fashion retail. Our model is not a sustainability policy applied to a conventional business. It is the business. Every piece of inventory follows a five-step cycle with zero exits.
